The Daily Joyo Kanji Challenge!

Well Hello There!

We know that learning kanji is THE hardest part about learning Japanese. It takes a lot of time, dedication, and rote memorization to even make a dent in the 2,136 joyo kanji that are needed to be considered fully literate in Japanese. Since many people wonder how to learn kanji, we decided to create the Daily Kanji Challenge!

Each day we will release THREE kanji for you to learn. You can follow us on Facebook or Twitter where we will post them. At the end of each week, there will be 21 kanji in total you should have memorized.

I want to know how to learn kanji!

We will provide links to these kanji in our dictionary so Premium members can add them to their drills. There will also be a new study list created each week, with the three daily kanji added every day. We will ALSO provide printable flashcards for the weekly kanji that you can print out at home to help you study. We know that 2,136 kanji is a LOT to learn, but the best way to do it is practice little by little, each and every day.

study too hard

We will be releasing kanji by the grade level they are taught in Japan, so it will start out easy and increase in difficulty as you go. If you’ve already learned some kanji, then maybe the first few weeks will be a vacation for you! Remember not to study TOO hard though. You might hurt yourself 😉
